Welcome in, Betsy! Betsy was born just 4 weeks ago on 6/2/2022 and almost didn’t make it to a month old. She has pneumonia which is very serious for such a wee pup. The breeder released her into our care so we could move forward with getting her urgent medical intervention. She has started on breathing treatments and is on antibiotics and has shown a positive, promising response 🙏🏻 Betsy is currently being cared for in Ider, Alabama 💕
Please know that our priority right now is getting Betsy healthy and that we will not be reviewing any applications or considering any families until Betsy is older, healthy, and available for adoption. UPDATE JULY 11, 2022: Little Baby Betsy in Ider, Alabama poppin’ in just to let you know she’s staying strong and continuing to improve from pneumonia and parasites 💪🏼 She will turn 6 weeks old on Thursday 💕

UPDATE AUGUST 1, 2022: Little bit Betsy had a BIG day today! Now 8 weeks old and all recovered from the pneumonia and parasites she arrived with, she had her first healthy pup wellness vet check today in Birmingham, Alabama where she checked out pawfectly 🐾 She weighed in at a whopping 5.3 pounds and received her first puppy vaccination 💉 She will return to the vet in about 3 weeks for her next puppy vaccination and health check and will then become available for adoption 💜
(There is a canine influenza outbreak in Birmingham, Alabama so her vetting took place outside to avoid exposure.)
