Welcome in Hally! Hally found herself posted on Craigslist and advertised as unspayed 😳 We made contact with the owner and paid a small rehoming fee to secure her and ensure her safety and welfare.
We were not provided any information or records on Hally but a detected microchip led us to a litter registration and her date of birth of 1/15/2016.
She underwent her intake vetting where we discovered she is suffering with ear infections and a nasty little parasite called coccidia. She is receiving treatment for both. Her heartworm and tick borne illness test was negative and her bloodwork and urinalysis were normal. Her eyes, knees, and hips are congenitally sound at this time although a mild, asymptomatic heart murmur was detected, likely from the onset of mitral valve disease which plagues the breed.
Sweet Hally underwent her spay surgery on8/28 and is back in her foster home in Paso Robles, California resting and recovering 💜 While under, the vet also found a deeply embedded foxtail 🌾 in her ear which they were able to remove 🙌🏻 She will return to the vet in 2 weeks for her suture removal and a fecal recheck to be sure we have effectively treated the coccidia. Her foster mom reports that she is super sweet and everyone that meets her falls in love 💕 Hally is being fostered in Paso Robles, California.
