Armani

Georgetown, Texas
Male Age: 1 (DOB 10/6/2021) 20# Healthy-pending forelimb assessment Adoption donation: TBA
Gorgeous 1 year old Armani (DOB 10/6/2021) recently came into our care after his family could no longer meet his needs due to unexpected life changes. He has now undergone his full intake vetting and is settling beautifully into his foster home in Georgetown, Texas 💕 Intake vetting revealed that 20 pound Armani is a healthy young boy! He is already up to date on vaccinations and received a thoroughly physical exam and full labwork which was normal and negative. He does need to be neutered, microchipped, and has an umbilical hernia to be repaired, and he is scheduled to undergo those procedures on Monday. We will be sure to let you know how he does 💜 Armani’s former family let us know that he had an accident at 12 weeks old which required surgical repair of a fractured front leg. As a result, he has a screw and pin in his right leg and decreased range of motion which does affect his gait. He are working on getting him a consultation with an orthopedic specialist just to be sure there is nothing that needs to be addressed. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to affect or limit his activity and play as we hear this playful boy loves to drag his cavalier foster brother through the house in a competitive game of tug of war 😂
UPDATE MAY 12, 2023: Darling 1 year old Armani (DOB 10/6/2021) in Georgetown, Texas underwent his neuter and hernia repair surgery this week and is resting and recovering well in his foster home ❤️‍🩹 On Monday he will meet with an orthopedic specialist regarding his front leg which was surgically repaired, per his former owner, when he injured it at just 12 weeks old. He has limited range of motion in his elbow and we want to be sure there isn’t anything that can be done to improve that. More to come when we know more 💜
