Rescue always starts with a nice, warm bath 🛁 Welcome in, 5 year old Brody! Adorable Brody comes to us as another owner surrender after his family felt they could no longer care for him. We were told that he hasn’t been to the vet in several years and is intact, not up to date on vaccinations/protection, not on preventatives, not microchipped, has an umbilical hernia that needs to be repaired, and is in need of a dental. Thankfully, we are in a position to meet his every need and look forward to bringing him to his best health and best self 💕 We will have a full medical update to share soon. In the meantime, we hear he’s making himself quite comfy and cozy in his foster home in Acworth, Georgia 🏡
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 25, 2024: We recently introduced you to precious 5 year old Brody who came into our care as an owner surrender after the family felt they could no longer care for him. We were told that he hadn’t been to the vet in several years and so off to our vet he went for a thorough physical exam and full labwork. 14 pound Brody was found to be congenitally sound with clear eyes, knees, hips, and heart, but has bad ear infections and severe dental disease. His fecal test also showed that he has hookworms. Thankfully the rest of his labwork including his heartworm and tick borne illness test, urinalysis, and bloodwork was normal and negative. Brody has started treatment for his ear infections and hookworms and was cleared for his much needed neuter surgery and dental. Brody underwent his neuter surgery with umbilical hernia repair and a dental which required 21 extractions. Don’t worry - Brody doesn’t miss those bad, painful teeth one bit He will return to the vet next week to ensure his incisions are all healed up, and to recheck his ears and fecal.Brody is resting and recovering well in his foster home in Acworth, Georgia 🏡 His foster mom reports that despite the big dental, surgical procedures, infections, and parasites, that Brody is a happy boy who is taking it all in stride 💜 You’re a champ, Brody! 🏆
