Nykki

Marietta, Georgia
Female Age: ~5 (DOB 5/6/2020 ) #16 Health: Dry eyes, otherwise healthy Adoption Donation: $ TBA
Welcome in, Nykki! Darling Nykki comes into our care as an owner surrender. The family recently took her from a breeding situation, but she turned out to not be a good match for the them. We were told that she likes to be the queen of the castle, so she’s being fostered in a home where she’s the only pet 👑 There is some confusion about her age so we will have our vet weigh in when she goes in for her intake vetting tomorrow, but believe she is around 5 years old. We will be sure to post a medical update when all her lab results are in ✔️ Nykki is being fostered in Marietta, Georgia 💜
UPDATE NOVEMBER 26, 2025: We recently introduced you to precious Nykki who we welcomed in over the weekend as an owner surrender. Since then she’s made herself right at home in foster home in Marietta, Georgia, and has undergone her full intake vetting…. We don’t have an exact date of birth on Nykki but believe she is about 5 years old. Weighing 16 pounds, she is a few pounds overweight as we believe about 13 pounds should be her ideal weight. She came to us up to date on vaccinations and microchipped, and she received a thorough physical exam and full labwork at her appointment. Her knees, hips, and heart were found to be clear and congenitally sound while her tear test revealed decreased tear production. Low tears can cause inflammation, irritation, and ulceration and so we are starting her on a tear stimulant eye drop medication to help boost her tear production and will be supplementing her tears with an artificial tear gel to help with lubrication and comfort. We are also treating her for ear infections. All of her labwork including her fecal test, heartworm test, tick borne illness test, and bloodwork came back normal and negative. We are awaiting the results of her urinalysis. Therefore, she’s been cleared for her spay surgery and will also receive a dental cleaning. She will undergo these procedures in a couple weeks. In the meantime, she’s settling in very well and enjoying being the little princess in her foster home 👑💜
