MEET SADIE 💜 Sweet Sadie is a precious 5 year old girl (DOB 4/12/2018) who comes to as a breeder release. She has now undergone her full intake vetting and received an overall good report - we found Sadie’s eyes, knees, hips, and heart to be clear and congenitally sound at this time. She does have ear infections which we are treating her for. All of her labwork including her fecal test, heartworm and tick borne illness test, urinalysis, and bloodwork is normal and negative. She had required a c-section with her last litter and was spayed at that time, but she did need a dental cleaning which she underwent, with no extractions needed. She is however, obese, currently weighing 25.8 pounds when she should be about 18 pounds. This is negatively affecting her quality of life and we have started her on a weight loss diet and plan which includes strictly portioned meals of weight management food, limited healthy treats, and daily activity. She will head back to the vet for an ear recheck and weigh in next week. We look forward to getting her much more comfortable and to a weight where she can truly live her very best life! Sadie is so sweet, friendly, full of kisses, and wants all your love and attention. She is being fostered in Decatur, Georgia 💕o bloom 🌸

UPDATE AUGUST 2, 2023: After being retired from breeding, Sadie is totally digging her new view 🪟 and settling beautifully into her foster home in Decatur, Georgia 🏡💕 Her vet recheck and weigh in is scheduled for 8/7 ✔️
UPDATE AUGUST 7, 2023: Just call her ‘Svelte Sadie’ 💕 Today was her first weigh in and she’s down 2 pounds! 🙌🏼 From 25.8 to 23.8 and well on her way to her her ideal weight which we feel is about 18 pounds. Her ears, which were previously treated for infection, were also rechecked and given the all clear 👏🏼 Best health, best self - keep going, Sadie! 💜
