Welcome in, sweet Tia 🩷
Tia is one of the nine Cavaliers we were able to rescue off the auction block, pulling her out of the puppy mill industry and intercepting a future that would have been spent as a breeding dog—enduring a lifetime of reproductive abuse, neglect, and suffering.
This darling girl is just 5 months old (DOB 11/26/2025) and weighs 8.6 pounds. She checked out as our healthiest pup physically, with only ear infections to be treated. However given that the other pups came in with parasites and illness, we will continue to keep a close eye on her in case we need to initiate other treatment. Tia’s eyes, knees, hips, and heart were all found to be clear and congenitally sound at this time. She has an umbilical hernia which should be repaired when she is spayed at the appropriate age.
While she may be physically healthy, emotionally she was the most fearful of the group - understandably overwhelmed by the chaos and stress of the auction environment. Everything is new and scary right now but already, her foster family is seeing progress each day as she begins to decompress and learn that she is finally safe.
Tia is being fostered in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, where her journey of healing, trust, and love is just beginning 🐾
