Bentley

Harvest, Alabama
Male Age: 6 (DOB 3/5/2019) #TBA Health: TBA Adoption Donation: $TBA
Welcome in, Bentley! 6 year old Bentley (DOB 3/5/2019) comes to us as an owner surrender. We were told that the family has upcoming trips planned and that Bentley isn’t a good traveler. However, our volunteer reports that he was the perfect passenger on the way to his foster home. Check out the photo --> 💤
We will have ample time in foster care to fully assess this and and all of Bentley’s needs, however, we often see that these reported behaviors are environmental and we never see them once the trigger is removed.
Bentley is settling into his foster home in Harvest, Alabama and will undergo his full intake vetting on Tuesday. We will be sure to share a medical update once we have one 💜
UPDATE MAY 5, 2025: We recently welcomed 6 year old Bentley (DOB 3/15/2019) into our care after he was surrendered by his owner, certainly not due to any fault of his own. He is settling well into his foster home in Harvest, Alabama, and has now undergone his full intake vetting. He is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, but he received a thorough physical exam and labwork… Bentley is overweight currently weighing 25 pounds and needs to lose at least 5 pounds for his health. He’s been put on a weight management food. While his eyes, hips, and heart were found to be clear and congenitally sound, he has mild instability of his knees and the extra weight certainly isn’t helping. He has started a daily joint supplement and getting him to a healthy weight will help ensure that his knees don’t become problematic in the future. We are also treating him for ear infections. While he was on ultrasound to collect urine for his urinalysis, a bladder stone was detected and confirmed on radiograph. He is scheduled to undergo bladder stone removal next week and while he is under will receive a dental cleaning. All of his labwork including his fecal test, heartworm and tick borne illness test, bloodwork, and urinalysis was normal and negative. Once we treat his bladder stone, dental disease, ear infections, and weight, he’s going to be feeling like a new boy! 💙
