Welcome in, handsome Diesel! 😍 A good samaritan recently rescued Diesel out of a bad family situation where he was being neglected and abused. She took him in, got him back on the right paw 🐾 , and then entrusted us to continue his care 💜 
8 year old Diesel has arrived safe and sound to his foster home in New Orleans, Louisiana 🏡 where he has quickly claimed his perfect spot 🛋️  His foster mom already reports, “He is so adorable and has the best personality! If he is awake his tail is wagging!” 💕

Diesel will soon undergo his full intake vetting and we will share a medical update when we have one.

UPDATE OCTOBER 6, 2024: We recently introduced you to handsome 8 year old Diesel (DOB 8/12/2016) who came into our care after a good samaritan rescued him out of a bad family situation where he was being neglected and abused 💔 She took him in, got him back on the right paw 🐾 , and then entrusted us to continue his care 💜 Diesel has now undergone his full intake vetting - his heartworm and tick borne illness test was negative, fecal test was negative, and bloodwork was normal, but his urinalysis did reveal a urinary tract infection which he is being treated for. While his knees, hips, and heart were found to be clear 🎉, as you can see, he does have hypermature cataracts and as a result has very little vision. He met with our ophthalmologist for a consultation to determine if he may be a candidate for cataract removal surgery. Good news - his right eye is a good candidate for surgery and for good vision restoration! 🙌🏼18 pound Diesel is in need of a neuter and dental which he is scheduled to undergo tomorrow. Once he’s all healed up from that, we will look to proceed with scheduling his cataract removal surgery and gifting this sweet boy with vision again! 💜Diesel is being fostered in New Orleans, Louisiana 🏡  where he’s made himself at home and stealing everyone’s hearts 💕
