Welcome in, precious Lila 🩷
Lila is one of the nine Cavaliers we rescued off the auction block—pulling her out of the puppy mill industry where she had spent her life being used as a puppy maker. This darling girl is 4.5 years old (DOB 10/21/2021) and weighs 22 pounds of pure marshmallow fluff 🤍 Her once-beautiful white coat was heeeaaavvvily stained from years of living in filth, so we went right to work trimming away what we could and giving her the fresh start she so deserves.
Lila has now completed her full intake vetting and, at this time, is congenitally sound with clear eyes, knees, hips, and heart. Like so many puppy mill dogs, she didn’t come to us without needs—we are currently treating her for ear infections, and she will undergo a much needed dental alongside her spay surgery scheduled for next week. Adorable Lila is being fostered in Hoover, Alabama, where she’s already showing us what a quick study she is - adjusting remarkably well to this new life. She quickly learned to eat and drink from bowls, navigate stairs, sleep in the big bed, and settle into a routine. She has even discovered toys already!
And after years of being a mom, Lila is more than ready for her turn to be the baby and to finally be the one cared for 💜
