Winston | The Cavalier Rescue

Welcome in, Winston! 💜

7 year old Winston was found stray by a good samiritan and when the owners were identified, they didn’t want him back 💔 Thankfully he made his way to us where he’s safe and sound and where we will be fully assessing all of his needs and when ready, match him with his perfect forever family. He has arrived to his foster home in St. Simons Island, Georgia, and will undergo his intake vetting on Tuesday. We will be sure to post a medical update once all of his labwork results are in.

UPDATE OCTOBER 28, 2026: Last month, we welcomed 7 year old Winston into our care after he was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan. Although his owners were identified, they did not wish to reclaim him, and Winston was then transferred into our rescue.Since then, Winston has now completed all of his veterinary care, including a thorough physical examination, comprehensive lab work, microchipping, neuter surgery, and a dental cleaning. He has recovered beautifully from his procedures and is now officially medically cleared! But the best news of all is that the little boy whose previous owners didn’t want him back now has a family who doesn’t want to let him go! Winston’s foster family in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, has decided they would love to make him a permanent member of their family 💕 We are currently working with them to finalize his adoption and look forward to sharing his official adoption announcement once everything is complete 💜
